Throws events are held regularly at Athletics South Interclub and include Discus, Shot Put, Javelin and Hammer throw.
These events rotate on a weekly basis, with a combination of 2
or 3 of them are held at each event, but never all 4. This enables athletes to try all disciplines over a period of a few weeks, but still offers each event to achieve personal bests or qualifications every two weeks (Athletics South publish a calendar of event programs closer to the start of the season)
All ages will compete against each other but will have different weighted implements. Click here to view the chart of implement weights.
You must be 10 years of age during the calendar year to compete in any event - with the exception of hammer throw where you must be 14, or 12 with Athletics South permission. Times of all events are advertised, which allows you to plan them and compete only when you want.
