Night of Fives and Interclub  - Round 9 Combine

This Saturday is a big day for athletics and OVA.  We kick off interclub at 1pm which includes World Ranking Competition events of 60m, 800g Men's Javelin, 800m, Pole Vault and Women's Hammer Throw.  There will also be heats for the 100 yards State Championshio.  From interclub we move to the OVA/KORC Night of Fives.  Night of Fives has a record 112 entries which will have 4 races of 5000m.  The final events of the night - 100 yards State Championship and the Mens and Womens 5000m State Championship races

Interclub will run as per normal with entry times but please check the entry form carefully as there are some specific instructions about entry times and event times.  Relay is a mixed 4 x 400m.  Check the Athletics South website for the most up to date program.

We Will Need Your Help

Our duty will be shotput at 1pm for Women and 2pm for Men.  We will also need people to hang around after interclub to help set up for Night of Fives.  Helpers will be needed during Night of Fives for lots of jobs - timing chip distribution and collection, bar servers, marshalling, water station, crowd control.  Please stay and help - see Nathan at the tent during interclub if you can help.

Enjoy a Great Night of Athletics

Please stay and support Night of Fives.  It will be a great night with food vans, a trackside bar, merchandise and shoes for sale.  It will also be a great night of racing in both the 100 yards and the 5000m State Championships.
