Special information for this weekend and the upcoming Reunion Day Meet.

Reunion Day is on the 21st December.  Included in this meet are special named events with trophies awarded to the winners.  The program is available on the Athletics South webiste.  There are qualificiations required to compete in the named events - you must have competed in these events previously during this season to be eligible to qualify, so this Saturday may be your last chance to qualify.  For Field events the best 6 athletes will be invited to compete in the Named events of Long Jump and Hammer.  For Track events of 3000m and 5000m the qualifying time must have been achieved in an AS competition this year.  The 1500m will have a maximum filed of 16  - meet the qualifying time and you are guaranteed a spot.  100m will have 8-10 athletes chosen from the graded races held on Reunion Day.  Full details can be found on the bottom of the program on the AS website.  Race Walk will be a handicap mile.  Other events will be held on the day alongside the named events - so lots of opportunities to compete.

Reunion Day also sees the running of the 400m Club Handicap.  Work out your 400m and our Handicapper will do the rest.  Always a fun and exciting race to watch.

All Schools News - Congratulations Team Tassie and OVA!

Our High School members of the State Team had their chance to compete last weekend.  While all the news has been about Gout Gout, we celebrate the achievements of our OVA Superstars.

There were plenty of PB's, Finals performances, Top 6 places, Medals, State and National Records. For some it was the first time at a National Competition - a big stage shared with some big names.  Great to see lots of OVA in the State Relay teams as well.  We are proud of you all!

Shout out to Tegan Dench a dual medalist in the Para Throws, setting some new State and National Records.  Blake Doyle soared to new heights jumping over 2m for the first time in High Jump and winning a silver medal
