This weekend is just a prelude to one of OVA's most exciting event - Night of Fives, in collaboaration with Knock Off Run Club and incorporating the 5000m and 60m Open Championships, plus the Mixed 4 x 400m Relay State Championship.

Round 9 - 9am Start

Sunday's meet kicks off at 9am with the 5000m.

We have shotput duty at 10am and 10.50am, please help out, there are lots of easy jobs.

Our relay is a 4x200m.  Come to the tent to put your name down.  Go in the draw for a Liv Eat Voucher by coming to the tent during the meet.

We have some merchandise for sale at the tent as well - shirts, crew neck jumpers, hat and socks.

Reminders for every interclub - Entries must be in at least 30 min before the event time.  Don't forget your number!.  If you are withdrawing from an event, especially hurdles, please notify the officials and scratch from the event as soon as possible.

Night of Fives - 18th January

Getting bigger every year the Night of Fives is a huge night for OVA.  How can you be involved?

• Enter the Championship events or run a 5000m race (non-members are able to participate, invite your friends)
• Help out on the night - we need help to set up, give out shoe tags and collect them after, give out hip numbers, water station, set up and pack up, bar sales.  Email us, comment in the Member's group or speak to a committee member on Sunday.
• Enter a relay team - not a distance runner - get a bunch of friends together and enter the Team Relay.
• Invite your friends and family to watch a great night of racing - food, drinks, bar sales right beside the track.

Upcoming Events

Cadbury Marathon - January 11th.  Thank you for those that have volunteered to help.  If you are able to give an hour or so let us know.

Club Multi Event is set for Wednesday 22nd January.  We will be looking for participants.  Events include 3000m, 1000m, 400m, 100m, Discus, Shot put, Long Jump, High Jump and a Mixed 4 x 100m Relay.  If you are available please email or talk to Brendan or a Club Captain on the weekend.

OVA Carnival is on Sunday 2nd February - handicap racing at the Domain!  Entries are open via the TAL website.  Helpers will be needed.

Other State Championship events now open for entry are the Combined Event Championship on the 18-19th January and the 10000m State Championship.
